1. Huyen Khong Son Thuong pagoda (Chùa Huyền Không Sơn Thượng)
Huyen Khong Son Thuong Pagoda is well known throughout the region for its romantic and heavenly scenery. The tranquil setting of this spiritual getaway is a magnet for those seeking a peaceful alternative to the city and is especially attractive to literature and art enthusiasts.
Huyen Khong Son Thuong Pagoda, located in Nham Bieu hamlet, Huong Ho commune, Huong Tra district, Thua Thien-Hue province, is about 10 km to the west of Hue.
To reach the pagoda, you depart from the Inner Citadel of Hue by the north bank of the Perfume River, pass by Trang Tien bridge, then travel along a road filled with flamboyant tree shadows to reach Kim Long surburb, across Thien Mu Pagoda, then pass by a peaceful village on a rough dirty road leading to Cham Mount, on which the Huyen Khong Son Thuong Pagoda is located
This pagoda belongs to the Nam Tong Buddhism school. The pagoda, surrounded by bamboo trees, was built in 1973 by bonzes Vien Minh, Tinh Phap, Tri Tham and Tan Can, and originally stood in Phu Loc District Loc Hai Commune.
It was moved in 1978 to its current place in Huong Tra District, Huong Ho Commune by a monk, the Most Venerable Gioi Duc, who headed the pagoda until 1983 and who was succeeded by the Most Venerable Phap Tong.

It’s quite easy to access Bach Ma National Park from Hue (40 km), Da Nang (65 km) and also Hoi An (90 km). This protected area was established in 1991 and consists of three zones: a strictly protected core, an administrative area and a buffer zone.

Thien Mu pagoda with a different name as Linh Mu pagoda which is the most famous pagoda in Hue city. It is located 5km far away from Hue center, in the Ha Khe hill along Huong river which such a romantic view.

5. Dieu De pagoda (Chùa Diệu Đế)
Dieu De Pagoda is located in Phu Cat Ward, Hue City, Thua Thien Hue Province. Dieu De is the third pagoda which is considered as one of the 20 most renowned structures of the ancient capital of Hue. The pagoda was constructed by Thieu Tri King in 1842-1844. The pagoda was built on a 5,000 square meter platform in his former home in 1807.
It is a lovely serene spot on Bach Dang St near the eastern gate of the citadel. It’s a good place to incorporate into a cycle around the citadel or a walk along quaint Bach Dang St. It was a centre of Buddhist protest against the US backed regime of Ngo Dinh Diem.
Dieu De Pagoda, one of four in the city to receive the patronage of Nguyen Dynasty emperors, is set back from the Dong Ba canal on one of Hue’s most atmospheric old streets. It was most recently renovated in 1955 though it dates back at least to the mid nineteenth century.
6. Tu Hieu pagoda (Chùa Từ Hiếu)
Tu Hieu pagoda is located at Duong Xuan Thuong III hamlet, in Thuy Xuan village, 5km southwest of Hue. It faces the southeast and uses Ngu Binh mount as a front screen.
Known as the famous “root pagoda” of Zen master Thích Nhất Hạnh, Từ Hiếu Pagoda is not only a place for the monks to lead an awakening life but also for anyone who wishes to find a serene haven to escape from the busy life or to learn meditation.
The pagoda was originally a small hut built by Nhat Dinh in 1843, who was formerly recognized by royal authority as the monk of Giac Hoang Pagoda. In 1848, the pagoda was restored by monk Cung Ky with the help of the king’s eunuchs and courtiers. Tu Hieu hence became a large pagoda.

7. Hue Vesak buddhist festival 2019 (Đại lễ Phật Đản Vesak 2019)

In the afternoon of 18th, May 2019, Hue was celebrating the biggest buddhist festival named Vesak. A thousand of Buddhists was coming together to prepare for this festival, the commemoration of the day of birth of father buddha.
