NEW WALKING ROUTE ALONG THE WALL OF HUE CITADEL

The walking route along the wall of the Imperial Citadel of Hue (Thua Thien – Hue province) has just been smoothly connected, attracting many tourists to take a walk and admire the scenery.

Walking path along the wall of Hue Citadel from Nam Xuong waist (inside The Nhon Gate, also known as Cua Ban), to Nam Thang waist (inside Quang Duc Gate, also known as Sap Gate), across Phu Van Lau flagpole has been connected for people and tourists to pass through.

According to the leader of Hue Monuments Conservation Center, before the Lunar New Year, the unit has embellished and connected the walking passage above the wall to create a new space for people and tourists to explore. It is convenient to go up and down to visit Ngo Mon.

In the coming time, the Center will display more images of royal ceremonies, kings, and mandarins of the Nguyen Dynasty; restore the scene of the patrolling guards… to help bring to life the walking route. It is expected that by 2025, the walking route on the upper citadel will be fully connected.

The embellishment and opening of the walking path above the upper citadel has helped visitors have more new experiences when visiting the Hue Citadel area of the Complex of Hue Monuments.
